In the accumulated of the 2023/24 harvest, the sale of ethanol totals 4.48 billion liters

In May, ethanol sales totaled 2.39 billion liters, which represents a positive variation of 1.56% compared to the same period of the 2022/23 harvest.


Distinct trajectories between hydrated and anhydrous have persisted since the beginning of the harvest, so that, for the former, the volume sold in May was 1.29 billion liters – a decrease of 12.44% – and, for the latter, 1.11 billion liters – advance of 24.69%.

In the domestic market, the volume of hydrous ethanol totaled 1.25 billion liters, down 11.39% compared to the same period of the previous harvest. The sale of anhydrous ethanol reached the mark of 1.04 billion liters, which represents growth of 24.37%.


In the accumulated for the 2023/24 harvest, the sale of ethanol totals 4.48 billion liters, which represents a decrease of 1.89%.

Hydrated ethanol comprises sales of 2.5 billion liters (-13.04%), while anhydrous 1.98 billion (+17.09%)
